Webkinz Sale Tips

If the whole family is hooked on virtual pets, it can end up being one expensive hobby, especially when you are trying to be frugal. I did a lot of searching and discovered the best Webkinz sale was right in my backyard. Well, up the street, but very close! Here are a few of the ways that I’ve managed to find cheap Webkinz:

- Check thrift stores. I got 6 Caring Place poodles with tags still attached for $1.99 each and everyone had a blast with their herd of identical pets offline and online.
- Look for discount stores. Book Cellar in my area has a great special where you get 4 for $20. Right now, only elephants and a few lions are in stock, but it is a good deal if you don’t have them yet. I check back every few weeks because you never know what you’ll find. I discovered the new Cheeky dog and the pink Google in stock a few weeks ago.
- Keep an eye on Target sales. I combined a special price and a 10% off coupon for a decent discount.
- Ask at your warehouse store. Costco has a fabulous deal that the folks over at Webkinz Insider discovered, where you can buy a combo that includes two pets and ten packs of series two trading cards. (If you are into virtual pets and haven’t discovered this forum yet, you are in for a treat. They really know their stuff when it comes to Webkinz.)
- Shop eBay auctions. I am careful to only bid on auctions that state tags are attached and pets are in hand. I also check to be sure there is a lot of good feedback before placing my bid.
- Keep an eye out for Amazon
sales. I’ve found a few decent specials, but I can usually find better deals offline. However, in my opinion, the selection of retired and special edition pets is what makes this a good spot to check. I saw a Love Frog today for $14.95 with free super saver shipping, which isn’t a terrible price if you’re heart is set on it.
