Public Relations/Review Product Policies

For Public Relations Professionals/Business Owners

I enjoy hearing about new promotions or products that could be of interest to my readers. I enjoy using family friendly products and letting people know my honest opinion of them. However, I do have a few policies I’d like you to read before you contact me with a request to promote a great sale or review a specific gizmo:

  • I only accept products for review if they have a value under $100. If you’d like me to review something pricier, you’ll need to include return postage so I can mail it back to you when I am done reviewing it. This allows me to review items fairly and impartially. (Of course, I’m also happy to mail back less expensive products if you include return postage.)
  • My mama was big on this saying: “If you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all.” If I don’t feel like your product or promotion will be valuable to my readers, I won’t place a review for the product on Mama On the Go.
  • I will not accept payment to change my opinion of your product if I don’t like it. My readers trust me to tell them how I feel about something and I won’t break that trust for some fast cash.
  • If you want to set up a giveaway for my readers, you should be prepared to handle prize fulfillment. I honestly am not big on giveaways because I hate all the mumbo jumbo you have to worry about. (Did I say you must be 18 or older to enter? Did I give an alternate means of entry? Oh, no. I have to exclude readers in the state of…Well, you get the idea.) So, adding the hassle of the post office and postage fees on top of it? Not my idea of a fun day!
  • I will state that I received a sample of your product for review purposes to be sure my readers understand what is going on.

For My Readers

I love to try new things. When I find one I like, I enjoy sharing information about it with other people. However, I am not a doctor, a lawyer, or an electrician. I am simply sharing my personal opinions and experiences with you all on Mama On the Go. The information on this blog is not intended to replace advice from a professional.
