We hopped online to see if we could get the free Lego Club magazine subscriptions my brother used to get about 15 years ago for the kids. Yes, it is still available, but we found something even neater. Children under six can now subscribe to Lego Club Jr., too. This magazine is geared toward younger readers, which is exactly what a few of them need. And the price? Still completely free. Works for me!

By the way, in case you’re thinking it isn’t worth bothering about, the magazine isn’t just a glorified catalog of Lego products. Although there are a few pages with new Lego kits on them in the old issues I have, each issue also includes projects to build, puzzles to do and stories for the kids to read. I’d say it is 3/4 content and 1/4 ads, which is really not bad at all in today’s ad heavy world.
When I signed up, I used the kids’ birthdays and information to complete the forms. This meant I had to get a confirmation email and re-sign them up or I had to call to verify that it was okay for the company to send the magazine out. The extra step is to protect my guys, so I didn’t mind, but I just wanted you to be aware that it is a two step process if you are signing up someone with a kids’ birth date.
